NEBO TV’s End of Year Appreciation Message to Some Special People
NEBO TV Canada—I would like to extend my appreciation to some of the special people, who contributed to my success story in 2022. If I have to mention the names of all the people that supported me this year, I will write a hundred pages. I thank you all specially! According to Alfred North Whitehead, “No one who achieves success does so without the help of others”.
There are certain people in your life that will not hesitate to take a journey with you, no matter how rough the road is, they will walk with you to the end. I thank you all for being a part of my journey and success story in 2022. Cicero once said that, “A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues.”
Some of my achievements this year include: (1) Through the support of the committee members of the Edo language program—in collaboration with the University of Benin—we initiated the first ever “Edo Language Day Worldwide” on August 13th, 2022—as an annual event worldwide. History was made! My innovative prowess has helped a great deal to shape the history of Benin. (2) I got an offer of admission to a PhD program (6 years flex in Education) at the University of Toronto (no. 1 ranking University in Canada). (3) I was invited by Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art in Washington DC, United States to attend the signing ceremony of the return of Benin Bronzes to Nigeria. I had the opportunity to meet and network with some of my mentors in Washington DC. (4) I successfully completed my second book—to be published on Amazon and other platforms in January 2023. (5) I proudly received two prestigious awards in Toronto this year (Black Diamond Awards and Urban Hero Awards) and more achievements. I thank the Almighty God and our ancestors for a great year well spent together in peace and harmony! I pray for a better and greater achievement in the year ahead (2023).
