Nigerian Canadian Newspaper Celebrates Mother’s Day Award Event
On May 4th, 2019, I received an award from the Nigerian Canadian Newspaper and a certificate of recognition from the City of Toronto as one of the super working mothers in Canada contributing to the development of our communities (my third award this year). I feel blessed to be recognized along with several other dedicated mothers who are going beyond the role of motherhood and shattering glass ceilings. We thank MPP Faisal Hassan (York South-Weston) for attending and presenting the trophies to the awardees. Councillor Jim Karygiannis presented ten awards to the award recipients. Special appreciation to the organizers of this event, sister Ngozi Gertie Ugoh and Jim Karygiannis (Councillor), for making this event memorable in my life. – Nekpen Obasogie
